The Clegg Hammer is designed to be used by a Single operator which includes using the tablet. Right handed or Left handed does not matter as it is designed to be Ambidextrous.

The tablet that is included records all the data so that the operator just relocates and performs the drops while confirming the information on the tablet.

Weighing in at only 4.5kgs (10lbs), using the Clegg Hammer is easy to move and position even in hard to reach places and tight quarters like ditches and backfills to pipelines and crawl spaces.

Every single drop that is recorded will get a Timestamp and GPS Coordinates attached to it. The GPS coordinates are accurate down to 3m depending on your location.

For more accurate GPS locating you can pre-locate and map your locations ahead of time, then show up and test with the Clegg Hammer on those locations.

The mobile app can be downloaded for Android and iOS devices. The app comes preloaded on the tablet provided. The app allows users to control the data. Editing data is not possible in the app and therefore provides all parties the raw data that is secure and not corrupted.

One of the updates to the Clegg Hammer is the stopper. When raising the Clegg you lift all the way to the top where is will hit a stopper. That is the location you drop the hammer from. This is premeasured for a Perfect Drop Height.

Previous models would allow the user to manually line up the hammer within a drop zone which has human error from drop to drop and even more from operator to operator.

An update to the Clegg Hammer is the exposed wire that connected the handle to the control panel/power source is no longer there. This would quite often get tangled on the hammer or even cause the control panel to get knocked off.

There are no more Visible or Exposed wires to worry about.

Drop and location information that are stored in the app cannot be edited or changed in the app. For all parties on a site, having trust in data that was not corrupted or modified is paramount.

The app exports a .CSV File which is a simplified excel file that is Universally Accepted. This file contains all the information for use with mapping software. We recommend the free google mapping software as it is easy to import and share according to your needs.

The Clegg Hammer provides an assessment of the strength and stiffness of properties of a variety of Soils, Aggregates, and Synthetic Materials.

The impact test result reflects and responds to characteristics that influence strength, such as material type, grading, layer thickness, density, moisture, and possibly the condition of the underlying layer.

The test results are calculated and displayed on the tablet within 2 Seconds of the drop. Once your testing is finished the app allows you to send the results with a Click of a Button in the method: Email, Bluetooth, Download, best suited for your workflow.
