The Clegg Hammer allows a person to test compaction at a fast pace. By simply placing the Clegg Hammer down on the ground, results are delivered within 2 seconds of every drop. The Clegg Hammer allows 1 person to test over 100 locations per hour depending on the distance between locations. The result is a massive sampling size of your project that allows you to test before, during, and after construction for proper compaction and material strength for quality assurance.
Accuracy
The repeated accuracy of the Clegg Hammer has been expanded on. The ASTM D5874 standards provides proper assurance that the Clegg Hammer issues results according to those standards. The new redesign adds upon this so that each and every operator that uses the Clegg Hammer gets a perfect repeatable drop every time from project to project that is 100% accurate. Each reading is mapped to within 3m (10ft) and correlates to strength and modulus according to peer reviewed studies.
